It's been a hot one so far! Temperatures in the 90's, close to 100, in June? Come get out of the heat on Thursday evening, July 8. Program plans are not quite complete but the food and fellowship will be the best.
Rothchild Catering at Ten Mile Center will be serving us another outstanding meal. How's this for a menu:
**Mixed field greens topped with sliced berries, mandarin oranges, pecans and dressed in citrus vinaigrette
**Grilled lightly marinated chicken breast served over orzo with spinach,k red peppers, carrolts and acompanied by steamed asparagus spears
**Freshly baked yeast rolls, coffee, decaf and tea
**Fruit sorbet for dessert
But this month, we have "double the fun" with not only another terrific get-together at Rothchilds but also a summer family fun party! The date is Sunday, July 18, 2010, from approximately 3:00 PM until 6:00 PM or until the last guest leaves. Lisa Lane has made arrangements for ACW to gather at a lake house in Tellico Village that is an excellent place for family fun. How does badminton, boating, tubing, swimming or just hanging out and floating on a float in the cove sound? There is even a saltwater pool available for our use. The large industrial charcoal grill will make grilling hamburgers and hotdogs easy. ACW will provide the meat and members will bring the sides like drinks, chips, baked beans, potato salad, condiments, etc.
